This month, Gary Stein marks ten years at Taylor. As a Senior Site Manager, he has spent that decade on some of Taylor's most demanding projects, delivering the kind of finished product that gets noticed long after practical completion.
A track record built project by project
Over ten years, Gary has led some of Taylor's most complex and high-profile jobs across health, education, and government sectors.
His work at the John Cunningham Student Centre at Scots College is the kind of project that gets talked about. Gary delivered a finished product that Ben Folkard, Construction Director, described plainly: "It was a piece of art and really showed the quality of builder Gary actually is."
The project went on to win the MBA National Presidents Award and the MBA NSW Excellence in Construction Award for Private Schools ($50m to $70m) - recognition that reflects the standard Gary held on site every day.
Gary is currently delivering the new High School at Jordan Springs for School Infrastructure, and prior to this has worked on many award-winning projects, such as the PolAir Facility in Bankstown, Lindfield Learning Village Stage 1, and Chatswood Place, to name a few.

Project Manager Jason Tulich puts it directly: "Gary is a pleasure to work with, is a person who really cares about the people around him and always stands up for what is right."

Beyond the site
Gary's contribution to Taylor has never been limited to the projects he delivers. He has been a regular participant in the Taylor Charity Golf Day for seven consecutive years, and in 2022 took home first prize at the KARI Corporate Golf Day - a fundraising event Taylor has long supported.
